Tai Chi

Current Tai Chi courses at TK Martial Arts Academy(Hornsby) mainly focus on traditional Chen-style Tai Chi Quan as well as Tai Chi Jian.

 

Chen-style Tai Chi comprehensively inherits and then develops different Punches popular since Ming Dynasty. It integrates ancient breathing exercise, yin-yang theory and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and then becomes a kind of Quan that need both internal and external practice.

Kung Fu & Wu Shu

Kung Fu(Wu Shu) are vast and profound, of long standing and well established, enjoy very high reputation in the world. Some styles focus on the harnessing of Qi and are labeled internal, while others concentrate on improving muscle and cardiovascular fitness and are labeled external. Chinese Martial Arts bring together traditional culture and arts together.

 

The actions of Wu sheng (a fighting and military character) in traditional Opera, lion dance and dragon dance are all greatly related to Chinese Martial Arts. As far as literature is concerned, many literary books are based on Chinese Martial Art, for instance, Shui Hu Zhuan (Water Margin) in the ancient time and those kungfu novels written by Jin Yong (Louis Cha)

Taekwondo

One of the most popular martial arts in the world. It originate from Korean, be came a part of Olympics family.  Powerful kicking and punching is suit for any age of participators.

 

As martial arts sports, Taekwondo is leading ahead the industry and develops strongly.
